Nació en 1968 en Montevideo, Uruguay. Comenzó a desarrollar su pasión por la música y la percusión cuando tomó contacto por primera vez con una batería a los once años; desde entonces su vida ha sido un largo viaje, a través de diferentes maestros, ritmos, países y culturas que hacen de su arte algo genuino, atravesando por la vivencia de cada instrumento y cultura nativa.
Dicho recorrido lo llevó a estudiar y vivir en lugares como La Habana – Cuba; Salvador de Bahía, Rio de Janeiro – Brasil; Guinea Conakry, Senegal – África; Lima – Perú ;Asuncion del Paraguay; Portugal, Francia, España -Europa.
Se formó también en la Escuela Universitaria de Música (UDELAR), donde en la actualidad es Docente grado 3 en la catedra de percusión.
En todos estos años de búsqueda y creación ha tenido la posibilidad de tocar y grabar con grandes artistas como: Rubén Rada, Diego Torres, Luis Salinas, Hugo y Osvaldo Fattoruso,Mariana Ingold, Jorge Drexler, Luciano Supervielle, Juan Campodónico, entre muchos otros.
Tambien su interés por lo más popular de nuestra cultura musical, el Carnaval, lo llevaron a participar en los 2 generos rítmicos por excelencia, Candombe y Murga,obteniendo varios reconocimientos junto a La Calenda, Sinfonía de Ansina, Zumbae, Agarrate Catalina y A Contramano.
En sus proyectos, como solista, destacamos algunos de sus creaciones y formatos:
-La Sandunguera: banda pionera en fusionar rítmicas afrocubanas con afro uruguayas, a su regreso del primer viaje a Cuba.
– Tribu Mandril: grupo pionero en percusión alternativa, a su regreso de Salvador de Bahia.
-Ofrenda: proyecto a duo con Ariel Ameijenda fusionando la textura en instrumentos de oriente con la percusión menor y el inicio de la investigación sonora y la tencologia en la misma( primer eslabon de SUPERPLUGGED)
– Los Carnavales del Mundo, formato a trío (Batería, Bajo y Teclado) que presenta composiciones propias y reversiones de temas clásicos de dicha fiesta popular en éstas y otras latitudes donde, desde la música instrumental suenan las rítmicas mas reconocidas de los diferentes carnavales del mundo.
-SuperPlugged: un proyecto totalmente innovador, donde la tencologia esta al servicio de lo mas primitivo de diferentes percusiones de distintas culturas, con el agregado de que el publcio escucha por auriculares, generando un repertorio y ambiente único.( dicho show tiene ya 7 temporadas de suceso en el teatro mas importante del país, TEATRO SOLIS)
-La Jaula del Rtimo: juntando la labor de docente en la EUM, la influencia y gusto por la percusión alternativa, y lo mas sustancial de percusiones de nuestras latitudes, surge este ensamble de percusión, con características musicales y estéticas sorprendentes.

Paralelamente a su carrera como músico solista y sesionista, desde el año 2012 comienza a estudiar y profundizar sobre el poder del sonido en la relajación, el masaje de sonido, la musicoterapia, con maestros locales, Guillermo Cabrera, Romina Rosin, Mayra Hugo, asi como del extranjero, Regina Neves de Brasil y Ingrid Obterlach de Alemania, desarrollando un modelo de MASAJE SONORO, focalizado a la relajación con el sonido de los cuencos tibetanos, los diapasones y los gongs.

Born, 1968 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Began to develop his passion for music and percussion at age 11 when he first discovered the drums. Since then his life has been a voyage following different teachers, rhythms, countries and cultures who make their art something unique; going through the experience of each instrument and native culture. This road of discovery led him to study and live in places such as Havana, Cuba; Salvador de Bahía and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; Conakry, Guinea; Senegal, Africa; Lima, Peru; Asuncion, Paraguay; Portugal, France and Spain in Europe.
He also studied in the Escuela Universitaria de Música (UDELAR) where he is actually a Docent, third grade, in the chair of percussion.
During these years of discovery and creation he has had the opportunity to play and record with such great artists as Rubén Rada, Diego Torres, Luis Salinas Hugo and Osvaldo Fattoruso, Mariana Ingold, George Drexler, Luciano Supervielle, Juan Campodónico, among others.
His interest in the most popular form of musical culture in his native Uruguay – Carnaval, led him to participate in two excellent rhythmical genres; Candombe and Murga, obtaining various honors for excellence with La Calenda, Symphony of Ansina, Zumbae, Agárrate Catalina and A. Contramano.
In his projects as soloist we highlight some of his creations and formats:
La Sandunguera: pioneering band in the fusion of Afro-Cuban rhythms with Afro-Uruguayan rhythms upon his return from his first visit to Cuba.
Tribu Mandril: pioneering group in alternative percussion, upon his return from Salvador de Bahía, Brazil.
Ofrenda: a project in conjunction with Ariel Ameijenda, fusing the texture of eastern instruments with minor percussion and the beginnings of sound and technology in the same. This was the first step of the development of SUPERPLUGGED.
Los Carnavales del Mundo, trio (drums, bass and keyboards) which presents original compositions and revisions of the classical themes of this festival which is popular in these and other latitudes where, through the instrumental music, are woven the most recognized rhythms of the various Carnavals of the world.
SuperPlugged:
A totally innovative project where technology serves the most primitive aspects of different percussion sounds from distinctive cultures with the addition of having the public listen through headphones, generating a unique ambience. (This show has had seven seasons of success in the most important theater in Uruguay, Teatro Solis.)
La Jaula del Ritmo: Combining the work of the docent in the EUM, the influence and joy of alternative percussion and the most substantial percussions of our latitudes. From this ensemble of percussion arise musical characteristics and esthetics which are very surprising.

In conjunction with his career as a musical soloist and session player, since 2012 he began to study and deepen his understanding of the effect of sound in relaxation; of sound massage and musical therapy with local masters Guillermo Cabrera, Romina Rosin, Mayra Hugo and with Regina Neves of Brazil and Ingrid Obterlach of Germany; developing a model of Sound Massage focused on the relaxation with sounds of the Tibetan bowls, tuning forks and gongs.
